PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Beginning together

Finding the right therapist or supervisor matters. I believe there should be space for us to meet, talk and get a sense of one another before deciding whether we would like to work together. I offer an initial one-hour consultation for both therapy and supervision. This gives us time to talk about what brings you here, what you may be looking for, and any questions you have about working with me.

There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you need or having the right words. The consultation is simply a place for us to begin.

Sessions & Fees

Our work together can be short-term or longer-term, depending on what you need. Sessions can usually take place weekly or fortnightly, and we can think together about what feels most supportive rather than assuming one arrangement will suit everyone.

Individual Therapy

My costs for the session are £85.

Supervision

Usually £75 per session, depending on your stage of training or practice and the supervision arrangement we agree together. We can discuss the practicalities of working together during your initial consultation and review our arrangements as our work develops.

Concessions & Access

I recognise that access to therapy is shaped by people’s financial circumstances, and that the same fee will not be equally accessible to everyone. I therefore do keep a limited number of concessionary spaces for individual therapy. If the standard fee would make accessing therapy difficult, you are welcome to ask whether a concessionary space is currently available. As part of my wider commitment to accessible and anti-oppressive practice, I also welcome conversations about access needs and adjustments that may support our work together.

Confidentiality

I treat what you share with me with care and confidentiality. Creating a relationship in which you can speak freely, at your own pace, is an important part of how I work. However, there are some circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be broken, particularly where there are serious concerns about safety or safeguarding, or where disclosure is required by law.

Wherever it is appropriate and possible, I would aim to discuss this with you before taking further action.

We will talk about confidentiality and its limits when we begin working together so that you can make informed choices about what you share.

Privacy & Your Data

I am committed to treating your personal information with the same care and respect that I bring to our work together.

Personal information is handled in accordance with applicable UK data-protection requirements, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. My full Privacy Notice explains what information I may collect, why I collect it, how it is used and stored, how long it may be retained, when information may need to be shared, and your rights in relation to the personal information I hold about you. I will share my privacy notice with you if we agree on working together.

Important Information

Psychotherapy is not an emergency or crisis service.

The information provided on this website is intended to help you understand my practice and the services I offer. It does not constitute individual psychological, medical, legal or emergency advice. Visiting this website, submitting an enquiry or attending an initial consultation does not, by itself, establish an ongoing therapeutic or supervisory relationship. Our work begins once we have mutually agreed to work together and established the terms of that relationship.

If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service.

Still have a question?

You don’t need to understand everything about therapy or supervision before getting in touch. If there’s something you’d like to know before deciding whether to arrange an initial consultation, you’re welcome to ask.
